Reef Magic is turning the Great Barrier Reef into the ultimate Pride celebration. As part of the official Cairns Pride Festival, Pride on the Pontoon is a day of colour, connection and celebration surrounded by one of the most incredible places on earth.
Join us aboard the Reef Magic pontoon, bring your favourite people and celebrate love, connection and community surrounded by the incredible Great Barrier Reef. Expect good vibes, colourful moments and a Pride celebration with a seriously spectacular backdrop.
Reef Magic is one of the first reef operators in Far North Queensland to take part in Welcome with Pride, with our crew completing LGBTQI+ inclusion training to help ensure every guest feels genuinely welcome, every day of the year.
This year the theme is Reflections so wear your dazzling, sparkling, reflecting costumes or swimmers to get into the spirit of Cairns Pride!

Three DJ’s, one pontoon. DJ Benny — resident DJ and organiser for Out! Cairns, and a longstanding force in the city’s LGBTQ+ nightlife. DJ Just Andy — uplifting vocal, Afro and melodic house from a Crystalbrook, Salt House and Sheraton Grand Mirage resident, and founder of Heatwave Festival Port Douglas. DJ Glenn W — remixed pop and house, and a long-time supporter of the Cairns queer community. Bring your dancing shoes. Leave the heels at home.

Strike a pose! Our photographer will be roaming the pontoon all day capturing the fun, and you can purchase your favourite shots onboard. Bring your friends, use the props, grab the snorkels — and tag @reefmagiccairns and @cairnspridefestival when you share!
