Guests at Reef Magic’s Marine World were stunned with the hundreds of different types of Marine Creatures they could see when jumping in the water. The clean clear waters of the Outer Barrier Reef were literally filled with Yellow Tail Fusiliers, Red Bass, Sweet Lip, Damsels, Parrotfish, Butterfly fish, Surgeon fish, Juvenile Red Emperor, small Humbugs and a couple of different types of Anemone fish. Larger creatures were seen by Introductory and Certified scuba divers, these include White Tip Reef Sharks, Blue Spotted Lagoon Rays, Barracuda, Spotty Mackerel, Blue Shark, Green Turtles, two Hawksbill Turtles and of course everyone’s favourite dive/snorkel guide , “WALLY” The Hump Headed Maori Wrasse.
For those not donning on snorkel or scuba gear our Semi Submarine provided the ideal way to see the marine life deep below. The marine life seen on our Semi Sub tours today included the Beaked Coral Fish, Banded Angel Fish and Yellow Tailed Fusiliers. The Sea fans and Soft corals provided plenty of colours and a great backdrop for schools of Sunset wrasse, Golden damsels, Moorish Idols, a spectacular Lionfish and a Spotted Porcupine fish.
